Tour of Walla Walla -Wilson Hollow TT 06/04/21
The 2021 edition of the Tour of Walla Walla went off June 4-6, 2021 in Walla Walla and Waitsburg WA. The race is put on by Allegro Cyclery of Walla Walla. Racers from the Northwest participated. Team Mercedes p/b RF Foundations had 7 racers in the Pro 1/2 field. We were there to support the team, and take photos of the team in the races. Four races occurred in the three day stage race, in order, Wilson Hollow TT, Waitsburg RR, Downtown Criterium, and Kellogg Hollow RR.
The photos posted are mostly all of the Men's Pro 1/2 category, which was broken into two flights of no more than 30 each, due to Covid restrictions. Most of the photos are of the Men's group A, although there are numerous photos of Men's group B as they were running close to the same time on the road and just before A on the crit. So there are photos of both, although our primary function was to capture Team Mercedes in the A group. Team Mercedes riders included Jeremy Ward, Craig Patrick, Justin Rose, Alex Martinek, Matt Moncur, Erik Knudsen, and John Hughes. Erik was injured in the Friday Road Race and left the race after that.
Denise Ward was my driver and second shooter. Thank goodness for her. We met a few parents from teams out of Seattle, very nice people. Hopefully a few photos in here for them. We are very proud of the guys on Team Mercedes. Also we felt that participants in Men's Pro 1/2 were all polite and sportsman like. Very nice to see.
Jeremy Ward took second overall in the Group A.
