Tour of Walla Walla Downtown Criterium, April 13, 2019: Pro/1/2

This gallery contains photos of the Pro/1/2 race Downtown Crit at the Tour this year. The weather was biting cold and pouring rain most of the race. Light was low. Team Mercedes and two other teams from Boise were represented, Bob’s Bicycles and UpCycle. Team Mercedes had five racers start but only one was able to finish. This is HIGHLY unusual for this elite team. The race badly took its toll on the team. Three went out with hypothermia symptoms and took them a bit to recover. I understand over 20-25 racers dropped or crashed out. It was merciless rain and slick roads. I took way too many photos trying to get a few that are presentable. David took some and his were Great!.
