Builders Choice Waterville Road Race, May 5, 2019

The Builders Choice Waterville Road Race incorporates roads in the classic Waterville wheat country. This course is flat with rollers, but don’t be deceived into thinking it’s an easy task. The wind just may play a role in the outcome. The Pro/1/2's raced this hard and fast. The weather was windy and warm. There were a number of attacks and on breakaway group stayed out most of the race. Jeremy and Kai from Team Mercedes were in the break. Kai took third in the race, and Jer 10th. For the overall Stage race, Kai took third and Jeremy took 8th. Not a bad day and races for the team. The course was two laps of 34 miles for a 68 miler. We were fortunate to find a cut through about midway such that we were able to see the riders 4 times for photos before hustling back to the finish for the final.
