Downtown Criterium 06/04/2022
The Men's Pro 1/2 race took off at 5:10pm, the last race of the day. It ran in downtown Walla Walla, right on Main street at .6 mile in length. The backstretch was super long and allowed for some fast speeds for the crit. After seeing a few other Cats race, it was obvious this field was super fast. Team George's carried out their plan and it worked, keeping them in the overall GC lead and Owen in the overall first place position.
Unfortunately the Road race scheduled for Sunday had to be cancelled due to horrendous road condtions resulting from the heavy rain and windstorm that hit earlier. It was such a mess that the riders would have not been able to ride, so the race was called.
Team George's finished first in the GC, with Owen first overall. Team Premier gave them all they could ask for in competition though, taking the win in the Crit.
