BCCC Baker City Criterium Men's Pro 1/2, June 18, 2022
The Men's Pro 1/2 Crit went off at 6:25pm, No rain, a bit chilly. Denise and I were both shooting. The race was 60 minutes with about 18 competitors. Luckily no crash or injuries!! The race was relatively quiet for a while. A bit later in the race, three racers went out front and literally lapped the field and rejoined the peloton. Max Ritzow, Blake Harper and Owen Wright (Team George's) finished 1,2,3 and Jeremy Ward of George's finished 4th.
Following the Crit, Owen Wright took the Yellow Jersey for the GC going into Sunday's race, with Max Ritzow second and Joshua Lebo third. Jeremy and Alex are 6 and 7 in the GC after the crit.
Denise and I did a big sigh of relief that the field finished intact with no problems. It was fun to watch even being so small of a field, and with a small spectator turnout.
