Team Mercedes Benz in the Boise Twilight Criterium, July 16, 2016
Team Mercedes participated in the Twilight Criterium again this year. They afforded them selves very well of the opportunity. The course was different this year than in the past, starting and finishing just in front of the Capitol and the Capital Park. In the Masters/1/2/3 and the Pro/Cat 1 race, they did a fantastic job of mixing it up in the field, leading, following, and not getting out of the way. A great showing from a fan perspective. These photos are from 4 races. The Masters 1/2/3 with Gabe Keck taking first in his division. Tim Root, now riding for Bob's took first in Masters. Todd Meiers showed so well!. The Paracycle race was again awesome to watch. We have only seen one of these, a few years ago at the Nampa downtown races. I was sitting on a corner and able to get some great shots. The Womens Pro 1/2 is in here, although not a lot of pics. Was really exciting to see the women race this year, and watch Kristen in her final local race before the Olympics. Go Kristen!!!. Then the Men's Pro/Cat 1. The Team Mercedes racers this year were Tad Hamilton, Hugo Fregoso, both long time racers and veterans of many of these, Josh Howard, Gabe Moss, Rob Scheffler, and Austin Arguello. They boys put on quite an exciting show for their fans. We were happy for them and their accomplishments. Our heart goes out to Gabe, and we wish you the best son, with a speedy recovery. Call Jeremy or Kai, they can give you recovery tips. Proud of this entire team. My shooting buddy and son, David Shaber contributed to this gallery with the D named photos. He is becoming so good at capturing moments and moods. Denise kept me out of the way of the riders and I am grateful for that, as I can get too focused. Duren is there to keep both David and I in line for certain. Download what you want, and share as you want. If you find one that you really like and would like me to further edit, just let me know.
