Team Mercedes Benz p/b Insidious Designs races Spring Breakout #2 by Bob's Bicycles, April 14, 2018

The Men's Pro 1/2 Race was again a strategic race played between the teams. in the 66 mile race, the first lap saw a breakaway with Todd M, a Bob's and an Upcycle. That break stayed out almost the entire race. Jeremy, and Justin Rose from Bob's formed a second break and eventually caught the first. Jeremy and Justin finished first and second, but wait, someone filed a protest. The protest said Jeremy and Justin went under a railroad crossing arm, just before the peloton was stopped by a long train. Although this didnt happen as far as we could see, the two were disqualified after the race was over and Todd won first place. Proud of the team, and the riders today. hard fought. You could see the grit and the pain on their faces. We watched Todd the entire race pushing to his limit. Jeremy on the last lap must have decided he was going to make the break work hard and took off in a determined action. So I guess I will say that Team Mercedes had two first place finishes today in the 1/2, although I am sure that is not kosher. Todd deserved his win for the hard work he put in the entire morning.
