Lewiston Clarkston 06.30.2023 thru 07.02.2023
We went up to help Ron move some stuff and to stay with Jim and Nancy for a couple days. We went to the Lewiston Air show on July 1, and took a few pictures. Old aircraft including numerous Military aircraft were on display and flying. We did not get all of them captured but got a few. the show and the gathering of the planes was impressive to say the least. 2 F18's were on hand as well.
While there, Nancy's Quilt of Valor chapter presented three quilts to three distinguished veterans. Clarence "Bud" Anderson, Jim Anderson, Ray "Hollywood" Fowler. Bud is an honorary Brigadier General who flew with Jimmy Dolittle in WWII. Ray was a pilot in the Afghanistan war and helped save a group of American servicemen on the ground with precise bombing and close quarters flying in what is described as a ClusterF***. What an honor to see them awarded. Then a few misc pics of the moon and around.
